Get a Library Card
If you are a resident of the Saitama city, or working, or are student in Saitama city, you can get a Library card.
If you live in Ageo city, Kawaguchi city, Toda city, Warabi city, Kawagoe city, Kasukabe city, Shiraoka city, Hasuda city, and Ina town, you can get a Library card.
Please go to the nearest Saitama Municipal Library with some identification (see the following list) that shows your name and address where you are living.

- A current electricity, gas, telephone or water bill
- Alien registration card
Circulating Items & Loan Periods
You can borrow up to 30 Library items including books, magazines, CDs, videos and Cassettes.
All items are due 14 days from the date they were borrowed.
Borrow & Return
Please bring the items you wish to borrow with your Library card to circulation desk.
You can return the items to all Saitama municipal libraries without your library card on circulation desk.
Reservations
If you don’t searching for books and magazines in the library, you can reserve them. Please fill out a reservation form, and bring it to us.

Copy service
We have photocopies service of all our libraries items within the limits of the Copyright Law. Self-Service photocopies machine is available. Each copy is 10 yen par page.
Internet
We have one set to several computers which you can access the Internet. Please bring the application form to us.
